Seasonal Living

Why We Love Seasonal Living

Curious about seasonal living? It’s simply living in rhythm with the Earth and her cycles. This is where you’ll find Wheel of the Year guides, pagan holiday celebrations, seasonal recipes, and nature-based rituals tied to the turning of the seasons — from the starry Samhain nights to the fiery, fertile Beltane days.

Working with The Wheel

What is the Wheel of the Year?

The Wheel of the Year is an eight-spoked calendar rooted in ancient Celtic and Germanic traditions, marking the solar and agricultural cycles that governed life for centuries before electric light made every day feel the same. It’s divided into four solar festivals — the solstices and equinoxes — and four cross-quarter days that fall between them: Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, and Lughnasadh. Together, they form a complete cycle of death, rest, renewal, growth, abundance, and release.

At Grounded Grimoire, we use the Wheel as a gentle map to live presently throughout the year. Recipes shift with the harvest. Rituals reflect the light. The more you tune in, the more the year starts to feel like something you’re moving with rather than just moving through.
